Description
Summary:How do governors work with School Improvement Partners to review a head's performance? In this programme, we are allowed in to observe the whole process, seeing how one primary school manages it, from target-setting to pay review. SIPs are a new feature on the performance management scene. The SIP is now the person who will support and guide governing bodies in reviewing the performance of their headteacher. At Gearies Infant School in Redbridge, Headteacher Bob Drew is about to have his performance reviewed by the school's SIP, Peter Brooks (himself a head), and a small committee of governors. They show us all the key elements of the process.
