Extracts from his journals are read throughout the film. In 1977 Chronicle showed the dissection of an unknown mummy at Manchester University. In the six years since then Dr. Rosalie David and her research team have developed many new techniques to investigate the death, state of health and life-style of the survivors of ancient Egypt. This program presents their efforts to extract information from artifacts using these new techniques and storing it on the computer at Manchester University before the objects deteriorate and disappear.
