In this film, entomologist Dr. James Logan uncovers the incredible truth about the midge. He looks at how the midge works and most importantly, why they choose to feast on some of us and not others. James also traces the role of midges across social history - they sent Queen Victoria fleeing from a Highland picnic and tormented the first European settlers of New Zealand. Finally, James reveals how his own work on natural resistance to the Scottish midge is now being used in the global fight against malaria. | ||
