Thich Tu Hanh describes The Venerable Thich Quang Duc's decision to self-immolate in protest against religious repression by the Diem regime. He recalls the 1963 immolation in Saigon, the cremation of the remains, and police brutality as thousands of Buddhists rallied in reaction.
